Dr. Raghavendracharya Rachuri

Dr. Rachuri Raghavendracharya is a software-engineer-turned-Sanskrit scholar, holding a Ph.D. in Ṛgveda Bhāṣyas from the Central Sanskrit University. He received his foundational training in the traditional Gurukula system at Sri Jayateertha Vidyapeetha, Bengaluru, where he rigorously studied Nyāya, Vyākaraṇa, Mīmāṃsā, and Vedānta under eminent scholars. His rare blend of modern technical expertise and classical śāstric training enables him to connect ancient wisdom with contemporary audiences.

A vivid writer and engaging speaker, Dr. Raghavendracharya has authored several books in Kannada, Telugu, and English, and regularly contributes scholarly articles to research journals and cultural magazines. His literary interests extend to poetry, music, and theatre; he composes verses, plays the tabla and vīṇā, and has directed acclaimed Sanskrit plays such as Veni Saṁhāra and Madhyamavyāyoga, along with producing documentaries rooted in India’s spiritual heritage.

He is the founder of Atmashrama, a spiritual and educational institution dedicated to reviving traditional learning. Through Atmashrama, he trains students in the Gurukula system, integrating classical knowledge with modern pedagogical tools. He also conducts workshops and online courses on Sanskrit, Vedic studies, and Indian Darśanas for students, professionals, and seekers worldwide
