Dr K Aravinda Rao, IPS, retired as the Director-General of Police of united Andhra Pradesh state. His rich and vast experience in policing and administration as a top-cop and Anti-Naxal expert, Dr Aravinda Rao played an important role in effectively dealing with Left-wing extremism in AP. , During his distinguished career in the police, security and safety departments, Dr Aravinda Rao served as the Additional Director General of State Intelligence Department the Additional Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, Inspector General of Police (Greyhounds) and IGP (Crime Investigation Department). He also holds a PhD in Sanskrit and has authored several books on Sanatana Dharma.

Post his retierment, Dr Aravinda Rao has authored several books in Telugu and English besides the book ‘Analysis of Jnanam in Upanishads’ in Sanskrit. He has also adeptly woven ancient Vedic wisdom with practical knowledge and rendered several online lectures on various subjects relating to Adavita, Shankara Bhashyam, Upanishadsm Bhagvad Gita to name a few.

Dr Aravinda Rao has been the recepient of several awards and was also conferred with the honorary title of ‘Vachaspati’ by the Rashtriya Vidya Peetham, a deemed university of GOI for his valuable service to the field of Sanskrit studies.

Pramod Kumar is currently an Assistant Professor at the Amrita Darshanam Centre for Cultural and Spiritual Studies, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, where he is also pursuing his PhD in Indian Knowledge Systems. His academic background includes an M.A. in History from the University of Madras (2017) and a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Madras (2000). Prior to thatJay had a varied career in international business during which, for many years, he headed up IT within a multinational company and also worked in several roles within Process & Product Innovation, Business Strategy, Manufacturing Operations and Logistics. . A third generation African-born British Hindu, Jay has continued to discover, develop, and connect with his Indian roots by exploring his heritage through its rich, diverse, living traditions and culture and the variegated history of India.

Srinivas Mulugu is based in Hyderabad and is the Chairman for Sri Aurobindo Society, Telangana & Andhra Pradesh. Prof. Jha did his M.A., M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Linguistics (Computational Linguistics) from JNU and did another MA in Linguistics (Natural Language Interface) from the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign, USA in 1999. He worked as a software engineer and software development specialist in USA before joining JNU in 2002. Candace Badgett is an International Director of the women’s wing of the Transcendental Meditation (TM) organization Global Mother Divine Organization with specific oversight in the US, Canada and Australia. In this capacity, she also provides advanced programs for women practitioners of Transcendental Meditation and the TM-Sidhi program.

Candace graduated from Maharishi International University, in Fairfield, Iowa in 1975, and received a PhD from Maharishi European Research University, Vlodrop, The Netherlands, in 2007, after completing a two-year course under Maharishi’s direct guidance. She became a teacher of the TM program in 1975 and has taught TM worldwide.

By combining these efforts, we aim to create a sustainable, self-reliant rural economy that fosters environmental stewardship, enhances educational outcomes, and promotes economic growth.

Go-seva Initiative:
The Go-seva initiative focuses on transforming Gauvansh (includes cows & bulls) into valuable assets by promoting organic farming, production of Panchgavya products, and bio-CNG generation. By partnering with local Goshalas, we can produce organic manure and other products, which not only provide economic benefits but also promote sustainable agricultural practices and improve animal welfare. The income generated will be used to improve Gauvansh care and infrastructure.

Education and Skill Development:
Integrating traditional and modern education, this initiative empowers youth and women with the skills needed for sustainable living and economic independence. Setting up a modern gurukul complex, collaborations with local schools, temples, and NGOs will facilitate vocational training programs in organic farming, traditional crafts, and modern technologies. Educational facilities will offer courses in traditional knowledge, sports, arts, and modern sciences, fostering a well-rounded and skilled populace.

Environmental Sustainability:

Dr. Ankur Kakkar received his doctorate in History from the South Asia Institute, University of Heidelberg, Germany. Dr. Kakkar is presently a Fellow at the Prime Ministers Museum and Library in New Delhi where he is working on the research topic titled “Rethinking Nationalist Education: A Study of Indigenous Enterprises (1880-1980)”. Suryanarayana Murty ASR is an Assistant Professor at Badruka School of Management. He received his Ph.D. from IIT Madras. His academic interests span operations management, supply chain analytics, sustainability, and cloud manufacturing. He served for a decade at the Indian School of Business, where he held academic and research capacities, contributing to course management and executive education. He has also worked in industry across roles in operations, consulting, and enterprise systems.

An alumnus of IIT Roorkee and IIT Delhi, Switi’s early focus area had been to design, develop & implement world class enterprise systems. As an entrepreneur, she then developed technology to build a marketplace for farmers. Since childhood, I have been deeply involved in the Hindu community of the Greater Toronto Area — teaching tabla at Mandir, volunteering for pujas and festivals, and helping today’s youth discover the depth and relevance of Hinduism. Smita Srinivas specializes in economic development with a unique combination of scholarly and practical impact areas of economic development including technological innovation, industrial policy, knowledge and culture. She is the recipient of the Joan Robinson Prize (formerly Myrdal Prize) in 2015 by the European Association for Evolutionary Political Economy (EAEPE) and recognized as the 2021 Clarence E. Ayres Scholar from the Association for Evolutionary Economics (AFEE), USA. With a Ph.D. from MIT in economic development and technology planning and numerous fellowships at Harvard Kennedy School of Government’s Belfer Centre for Science and International Affairs, she has longstanding experience teaching students in the world’s leading universities, and in multiple departments and research centers. Her earlier degrees are in physics and mathematics.

Dr. Sabareesh.P.A is a PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University. His multidisciplinary academic research at the Centre for Studies in Science Policy in JNU included areas of traditional medicinal knowledge, intellectual property rights and Indian philosophy of science with related research publications. Before joining JNU, Sabareesh has worked as a consultant with the Ministry of Science and Technology and Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India. Dr.Narayan Dutt Mishra, was an Ex Guest Faculty at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in New Delhi, is Chief Editor cum Anchor of Vaartaavali, DDNews. He is known for his expertise in Sanskrit. He has contributed to Doordarshan’s Vaartavali, a program that features content in Sanskrit, often highlighting cultural, linguistic, or artistic elements. One documented instance of his involvement is as the editor of a Sanskrit translation of a Goalparia folk song titled “Koi Jab Tumhara Hriday Tod De” (translated as “यदा कोऽपि हृदयं हि ते भञ्जयेत्”), which aired on Vaartavali on November 15, 2020. Dr Richa Sinha MBE is the Co-Founder and Chairperson of the Scottish Hindu Foundation, the representative body uniting Scottish Mandirs in their engagement with the Scottish Government. She was awarded an MBE in the 2025 King’s Honours List for her services tackling Hinduphobia in Scotland and the UK. A dentist by profession, she also serves as the Hindu Representative on the Faith and Belief Committee in the Scottish Government and is a member of BBC Scotland’s Advisory Committee on Religion and Ethics.

Raised in Hollywood and a graduate of Stanford University with a Ph.D. in psychology, she left behind a life marked by trauma and outward success to find profound healing on the banks of the sacred Ganga River in Rishikesh, India.

Today, she serves as the International Director of Parmarth Niketan (one of India’s largest spiritual institutions), Secretary-General of the Global Interfaith WASH Alliance, and President of the Divine Shakti Foundation, where she leads major initiatives in sustainability, women’s empowerment, and interfaith collaboration.

Swami Govindadev Giri known reverentially as Swamiji, is an Indian spiritual guru. He is the Treasurer of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, a trust responsible for constructing the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya and also Vice President of the Krishna Janmabhoomi Trust Mathura. He is a practitioner of Hindu scriptures and is known for his sermons on Ramayana, Bhagavad Gita, and other ancient Hindu scriptures.

Sohini Sircar graduated with an MPH from Yale’s School of Public Health and a BSFS from Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service, and is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at NYU. Sohini enjoys working on issues related to women’s empowerment and global health. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing and choreographing various forms of Indian dance.

Dr. Avinash Gupta is a dedicated cardiologist and philanthropist, tirelessly working to improve healthcare and education for the underprivileged in India and the U.S. His compassionate leadership and unwavering commitment has saved countless lives and inspired many.

As the current President of the Federation of Indian Associations, Dr. Gupta plays a pivotal role in organizing the India Day Parade in New York, celebrating Indian culture and heritage.

As a former President of the Bihar Jharkhand Association of North America (BJANA), he significantly contributed to strengthening community ties and supporting residents from Bihar and Jharkhand living in the USA. (Next Para) In his role as Chairman of the Sri Siddhivinayak Temple, Toms River, New Jersey, Dr. Gupta oversees the temple’s activities, fostering spirituality and community service.

Mohinder Gulati held the position of Advisor (Energy) at the World Bank and that of Chief Operating Officer Sustainable Energy for All (SE4All) with the United Nations before retiring in December 2015. At Sustainable Energy for All- an initiative of the United Nations Secretary General- he was a strategic advisor to the CEO and supported day-to-day operations. Through his work on the Finance Committee of the SE4All Advisory Board, co-chaired by the President of Brazilian National Development Bank and Chairman Bank of America Merrill Lynch, he made a significant contribution to the Finance for Development Conference in in Addis Ababa in 2015 and to the inclusion of energy in the post-2015 Sustainable Development Goals. He has authored two World Bank reports on energy-water agriculture nexus titled “Direct Delivery of Power Subsidy to Agriculture in India” piloted by Punjab as “Paani Bachao, Paisa Kamao” and another report titled “Grow Solar, Save Water, Double Farmer Income”.

In South Asia region Mohinder Gulati led strategic dialogue and investment programs to support power sector reforms, policy, legal and regulatory framework, unbundling and corporatization of several Indian state-owned power utilities. In East Asia, he led the dialogue on establishing a regional electricity market in Greater Mekong Sub-region, managed a 1100 MW cross-border export-driven private sector hydropower project (Nam Theun 2); in South East Europe (Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia), he managed policy dialogue, project development and implementation, and partnership with key development partner and worked closely with the European Commission.

He is a graduate in Management (Harvard and Delhi University), Physics (Delhi University), and Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers.

Dr. Ragini Sharma, PhD, has worked for over 25 years with individuals, families and communities of diverse backgrounds to support their human dignity and for their economic, social and political rights. She is a passionate educator of Hinduism and has represented Hindu perspective at numerous interfaith events.

Shivakumar G V is ‘Director – IKS Changemakers’, INDICA. His responsibilities focus on INDICA’s critical mission to serve and nurture IKS Changemakers by enabling them to fulfi ll their potential, passion and purpose. He leads INDICA’s engagement with other institutions to advance IKS through leadership programs and workshops. He guides initiatives that enable IKS Changemakers to become domain experts, institution builders and cultural leaders, and bolster the broader IKS ecosystem through the 6C Program – Champion, Connect, Coach, Contribute, Collaborate, Celebrate. He is on a mission to perpetuate the legacy of chosen Thinkers and Gurus of the 20th Century. He is the curator and designer of IKS MetaRetreats and IKS Changemakers Podcast at INDICA.

Shivakumar GV is an IKS Research Scholar focused on Itihasa-Puranas and Indian Knowledge Systems, with a particular emphasis on the Mahabharata and Purushartha. His work includes developing contemporary frameworks, workshops and visioning exercises rooted in IKS principles for personal growth, leadership, governance and public service. Towards this, he is developing civilizational theories based on Purushartha and Srishti-Sthiti-Laya for institutions and communities. A prolifi c contributor to INDICA Today, he has authored over 100 articles on topics like the Mahabharata, Itihasa-Purana, and civilizational studies – both in English and Kannada. His contributions extend to literature, including curating Aryaa – An Anthology of Vedic Women and co-authoring UnSung Valour and Adrsya. Currently, he is working on a book that explores Mahabharata stories through the lens of Purushartha. He is also pursuing PhD in the fi eld of Indian Knowledge Systems at IIT Delhi.

Shivakumar has delivered courses on the Mahabharata for children and leadership programs at diff erent institutions. He has designed and implemented leadership training programs based on Indian Knowledge Systems. He is actively involved in the advancement of IKS as a speaker in many INDICA Conferences/Symposiums, Educational Institutions and other IKS Platforms. As an advisor and guest faculty at Vidyakshetra Gurukulam, he continues to mentor students and aspiring leaders.

Shivakumar holds an M.Tech in Computer Science from IIT Bombay and a B.E. from the National Institute of Technology, Surat. He has 25 years of experience in the IT industry – 23 years of which were at Mindtree/LTIMindtree. His expertise spans learning and development, learning system design, pedagogy design, learning academy design, career management, mentoring, theoretical computer science, algorithms, technology architecture, design and program management. He has designed and delivered several Programming, Design, Mentoring, Certifi cation, Recruitment, Lateral Learning and Career Development frameworks & programs for Mindtree/LTIMindtree where he was Principal Director – L&D. He was also Architect of the organization’s Digital Skills Development program that received the Digital Digital Skills Award 2017. He is also the co-author of two papers on Natural Language Processing and Computational Linguistics in the early years of his career/student life.

Dimple Kaul is the Director of Outreach, Publications, and Special Projects at INDICA, where she works at the intersection of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), education, and cultural preservation. Earlier, as Director of Academic Programs, she played a key role in shaping INDICA’s academic direction. She set up INDICA Courses from the ground up, driving strategy, defining the academic model, building and leading the team, overseeing outreach and engagement, and setting up the systems that turned an early-stage initiative into a structured, high-functioning program. The platform has since run over 140 live courses across a wide range of IKS disciplines.

With over two decades of experience across media, telecom, technology, academia, and cultural initiatives, Dimple has led strategic programs and high-impact projects that bridge traditional knowledge and modern systems. Her academic background spans Electronics and Communication Engineering, Marketing, Liberal Arts, and Eastern Classics, along with a professional coaching certification. She brings a mix of technical insight, leadership experience, creative thinking, and coaching skills to everything she does, working across disciplines with both clarity and depth.

She is also a published poet, a human rights advocate, and a writer deeply involved in projects such as books, films, festivals, and documentary work that support Indian civilizational continuity. Dimple sees Indian Knowledge Systems not as relics of the past but as frameworks with enduring relevance for today’s most pressing challenges.
