Shail Derashri

Shail has a passion for Energy Conservation and Sustainability. An internationally recognized energy professional, she began her journey by earning bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, and an MBA from Rollins College. As a Certified Energy Auditor under Government of India, she has almost two decades of experience and expertise in efficiency improvements, predictive maintenance and failure analysis. Her excellence in the field of Energy conservation and sustainability has made her the First Woman in India to gain the internationally recognized credentials as a CEM (Certified Energy Manager) and 50001CP (50001 Certified Professional), which are foundational blocks for Energy Conservation and Sustainability. She is also the First woman Level 3 Thermographer of India. As an ISO 14064-1/2/3 GHG Lead Verifier, she is contributing to India’s Goal of reaching net-zero by 2050. She has been honored by the International Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) as “Young Energy Professional of the year – 2016” and “Energy Engineer of the Year – 2018”. The Society of Energy Engineer and Managers recognized her as the “Best Performance – Energy Auditor” in 2017. She is also serving on the board of 50001CP certification. She has been honored by Shankaracharya for her work in energy conservation and sustainability.
