Samrat Banerjee is a digital transformation and urban development expert, with over six years of experience in managing and implementing innovative projects for GIZ.
As a seasoned ICT and Digitalisation Advisor, Samrat spearheads the Sustainable Urban Development-Smart Cities initiative, currently in its second phase. In this role, Samrat:
• Leads the end-to-end management of digital transformation and data innovation projects, from planning and design to execution and evaluation.
• Supports the project team and partners with data science and analytics, ensuring informed, evidence-based decision-making.
• Collaborates closely with partners and key stakeholders, offering expertise in digital innovations tailored to project requirements.
• Keeps the team updated on the latest trends and developments in urban innovation and disruptive technologies.
• Communicates innovations effectively to a broad target group, facilitating a seamless exchange of ideas and advancements.
He is also a Volunteer at iSPIRT, a network of Public Technologists building Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) with a focus on taking India’s DPI story to the world.
