Dr Ramakrushna Padhy has received his PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He also has a B.Tech in Mechanical engineering and PG diploma in Industrial Engineering. He has 22 years of consulting and teaching experience in the area of process management, lean, quality management, Service Operations Management. He has designed and delivered many Management Development Programmes on Process Reengineering, Performance Measurement System, Quality Circle, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Creativity and Systematic Problem Solving. He has carried out consulting and training for a diverse range of clients which includes public, private and government departments. Some of them include Airport Authority of India, NALCO, NTPC, Garden Reach Ship Builders, Reliance Industries, Aditya Birla Group, L&T, Bharat Gears Ltd, OMC, OPTCL, Bharat Electronics, ONGC, ICFRE, Ministry of Power, Ministry of MSME, Ministry of Rural Development and International agencies like UNIDO, UNDP, World Bank and various other government departments, both at the centre and state level.
His research has been in understanding the implementation strategy and process of Business Transformation Initiatives, enterprise sustainability, circular economy. Within the business transformation initiatives, he is focused on Behaviour Operations issues.
Before joining IIM Sambalpur in 2021, Dr Padhy worked for more than seven years at IIM Kashipur and before that, he held senior leadership roles at the National Productivity Council, under DPIIT, Ministry of Industry and Commerce Govt. of India, New Delhi
