He came to the USA in 1965, completed his PhD, and worked in academia for 36 years before retiring in 2006. He was fortunate enough to get involved in various religious and spiritual activities over the last 40 years. He was one of the Founding members of the Hindu Temple Society of Mississippi (HTSM) and served as its President from 1986 to 1991. He also participated in the construction of Datta Temple in Baton Rouge and Karya Siddhi Hanuman Temple in Frisco, TX.
He served as Chairman of Datta Yoga Center USA for 30 years until 2023.
GHHF: In 2006, the Global Hindu Heritage Foundation (GHHF) was started with the sole objective of freeing the Hindu Temples from government control and protecting Hinduism in India. I have been serving as President of GHHF since its inception. Organizing 16 projects in ten different states in Bharat and Bangladesh. Examples: Establish 175 schools for Children to teach Sanatana Dharma, integrate Hindus within the Hindu community, stop conversions, build about 75 Hindu Temples in villages, train priests for village appointments, tailor training for women, perform Shiva Abhishekam every Monday to unite the village, etc.
