Charu Uppal

Charu Uppal holds a PhD in Media and Communication from Pennsylvania State University. She has taught across Sweden, the US, the UK, and Fiji, bringing a global perspective to her work. Her research explores Bollywood’s influence on the Indian diaspora, development communication, journalism, and the impact of Disney on young girls’ perceptions of girlhood.
