Candace Badgett is an International Director of the women’s wing of the Transcendental Meditation (TM) organization Global Mother Divine Organization with specific oversight in the US, Canada and Australia. In this capacity, she also provides advanced programs for women practitioners of Transcendental Meditation and the TM-Sidhi program.
Candace graduated from Maharishi International University, in Fairfield, Iowa in 1975, and received a PhD from Maharishi European Research University, Vlodrop, The Netherlands, in 2007, after completing a two-year course under Maharishi’s direct guidance. She became a teacher of the TM program in 1975 and has taught TM worldwide.
In 1990, Candace and her husband, Rogers Badgett built a 36,000 sq ft health facility, The Raj, in Fairfield, Iowa, pioneering the use of Ayurvedic medicine in North America. They are the owners and operators of this facility, as well as international consultants in field of Maharishi Ayur-Veda.
Candace and her husband are also founding members of the city council of Maharishi Vedic City, which was founded in 2001 as a model city based on Vedic principles for optimal quality of life.
After presenting a paper on Para Shakti, the Divine Feminine Principle at a 2012 academic conference at the University of Massachusetts, Candace was invited to join the Board of Directors of the World Association of Vedic Science (WAVES), the leading international organization sponsoring yearly academic conferences on Vedic Science. Candace organized for the WAVES conference to be held at MIU, in 2014 and now again in 2026. Candace has presented and published papers on various aspects of Vedic Science.
As an international speaker, Candace speaks regularly on the topics of Ayurveda, Vedic science, higher states of consciousness, and on women’s health, fulfillment, and empowerment.
