Arindam Choudhury is a PhD scholar at RML National Law University, Lucknow. His research focuses on understanding the Bharatiya Drishti about politics. In his research journey, he is exploring how Bharat has developed Paramparas and how the ‘State’ has dealt with them. He is interested in examining whether the idea of a contractual state has any real relevance in India. He is interested in exploring the ideas of Rishi Bankimchandra Chattopadhaya, Sri Aurobindo, and many other thinkers.
Previously, he has worked with the Election Commissioner of India (Ex.), Dr Anup Chandra Pandey, as a Research Associate. He has undertaken many such responsibilities during the years 2020-24 related to electoral policy in the states of Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. Through these experiences, he has realised the mismatch between ‘The State’ and ‘Bharatiya Parampara’. This gap is the primary inspiration for his research.
