Brig Amreshwar Pratap Singh

Educated at St Columba’s School, New Delhi, and the National Defence Academy, Pune, Brigadier AP Singh was commissioned into the Corps of Engineers of the Indian Army. A National Champion in yachting, he represented India internationally and was a crew member aboard Trishna during its historic 1985-87 circumnavigation—the first Indian sailboat to circle the globe.
Post-retirement, his passion for adventure evolved into extensive travel and photography, documenting journeys on his website (https://collectingmoments.in). His work focuses on Bharat’s rich heritage, exploring ancient architecture, monuments, and knowledge systems.
His debut book, Kashmir: The Land of Rishis—A Journey Through Time (2023), published by Indus University, examines Kashmir’s history and temples and achieved its second reprint in 2025. His second book: Temples of Goa-History, Portuguese Persecution and Revival (2025), is a tribute that captures the sanctity, endurance, and beauty of a heritage that simply and stoically refused to be erased.
