Prof. Garge teaches at the Mathematics department of IIT Bombay. He is interested in the Ekatma Manav Darshan of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay, especially in the philosophy of education. He has been a visitor to many mathematics departments in India and abroad. He has also served on several NCERT committees towards improving mathematics education. He helps the local colleges by serving on their Boards of Studies and research committees.
