Srinidhi Balasubramanian

I am a PhD student in Computer Science and Engineering, and Indian Knowledge Systems at IIT Kanpur, under Prof. Arnab Bhattacharya. My research focuses on developing AI and NLP tools for Sanskrit texts and IKS, with broader interests in Digital Humanities. I have previously worked on leveraging AI for Indian epigraphy.

I am also passionate about Indic youth community-building. In my undergraduate years, I founded a successful IKS student club that aimed to challenge conventional campus cultures and create alternate Indic peer spaces for students. I also take a deep interest in Indian history and am a contributing author to IndicA’s anthology, Shared Roots: Tales from the Indosphere. In my free time, I learn Carnatic Music
