Arnab Bhattacharya is a Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur to which he is affiliated since December 2007. He received his MS and PhD degrees in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara, USA and his Bachelors degree from Jadavpur University. His current research interests include natural language processing, information retrieval, data mining, databases, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. Arnab holds multiple patents in databases and has over 75 publications in reputed journals and conferences, and has authored 2 books. He is also the founding coordinator of the Centre for Indian Knowledge System (IKS) studies at IIT Kanpur.
